I’m so happy I got involved in sports photography at Salt Lake Community College. It’s been such a great creative outlet for me. I’ve been concentrating on photographing basketball games and volleyball matches.

My involvement in sports photography has really helped me feel connected to SLCC. It has also helped me achieve SLCC’s learning outcome dealing with working professionally with a diverse range of people. I not only take the photographs, but I submit them to the Globe newspaper and interact with the Athletic Department staff.

I try especially hard to get good action photos where you can see the faces of the players. It’s not always easy, since the players are constantly moving in volleyball and basketball. Here are a few of my photos.
